Research interests
Current work in the area of working memory includes: (1) comparing verbal and spatial memory and examining the influence of organizational principles within and across modalities; (2) identifying the sources of individual and developmental differences in working memory; and (3) examining how working memory is impaired by negative mood states and mild head injury (concussion).

A separate major area of work concerns identifying impaired cognition functions that characterise developmental disorders such as autism and ADHD. Other interests include the representation of three-dimensional space, implicit learning, and the developmental of specific abilities (e.g. in mathematics) in children.
